The assessments I am currently offering are:
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(R) assessment
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(R) assessment, also known as the MBTI(R) assessment, instrument or tool, provides an interesting and useful way to understand and appreciate ourselves and others. It is used in a wide variety of arenas such as business; education; personal, marital and vocational counseling; conflict resolution; etc. Based on the 1920s work of Swiss psychiatrist Carl Jung, the MBTI instrument was further developed by the mother - daughter team of Katharine Briggs and Isabel Myers over a period of more than 50 years. Translated into at least 30 languages and administered over 1,000,000 times per year, it is the world's most widely used personality inventory. This short video put together in honor of the assessment's 70th birthday illustrates the impact it has had on millions of users.

The 93 - item MBTI tool highlights differences in healthy personalities by helping us learn what energizes us, how we prefer to take in information, make decisions and relate to the world. It does not assess mental or emotional health or reveal anything hidden or negative. To learn why it is not a test, see What is a Personality Assessment?, and my blog post,
"Why the MBTI(R) Tool is Not a Test".
The Fundamental Interpersonal Relations Orientation-Behavior(TM) assessment
Developed by Will Schutz, Ph.D., the FIRO-B(R) inventory is also one of the world's most widely used interpersonal assessments, and has been used by people from all walks of life since 1958. Like the MBTI instrument but much shorter with only 54 items, it provides insight into our needs for Inclusion, Control and Affection, and how these are manifested in our behavior toward others.
The FIRO-B assessment divides each of these dimensions into Expressed behaviors, how we prefer to behave toward others; and Wanted behaviors, how we prefer to have others behave toward us. The degree to which these needs are met in a relationship has a lot to do with whether that relationship is mutually successful. Thus the insights provided by the FIRO-B assessment can greatly enhance our understanding of how to improve our relationships.
The Murphy - Meisgeier Type Indicator for Children(R) assessment
The MMTIC(R) was developed in 1987 and revised to its current 54 - question version in 2008, but the opportunity to obtain certification in it was not available until 2014. It is used in schools and with other groups of children in grades 2 - 12, primarily to determine their best styles of studying, learning and relating to peers and adults. While the question booklet is written on a second grade reading level, there are separate interpretation workbooks for elementary, middle and high school students. The workbook used with high school students contains a great section on exploring career options. More information is available at www.capt.org and on my blog post,
"A Life - Changing Read: The Developing Child" by Dr. Elizabeth Murphy.
