As I will explain later, it is particularly vital for people who prefer Introversion to get acquainted with the auxiliary function in general and theirs in particular, but I hope that Extraverted types will also take the time to learn about the auxiliary. After all, chances are very good that besides having their own auxiliary preference to become familiar with, they know, teach, work or live with and perhaps even love people who are Introverted types. They are probably eager to understand them, and one of the keys to understanding the Introverted types who come into our lives is understanding what the auxiliary function is and how it is manifested differently in Introverted and Extraverted types.
In my last post, for Halloween I wrote about how the inferior function, or inferior preference as it is sometimes called, can lead us to engage in frightening behavior when we are under stress. Now that we are in the season of giving thanks, I'd like to introduce an aspect of personality that probably gets overlooked when we (myself included!) count our blessings.
